LOST DIGNITY: NOTRE DAME FIGHTIN' IRISH BECOME FIGHTIN' GIMMICKS.
It was hard to watch the Notre Dame football team lose, again, to U.S.C. last night. I turned the game off after awhile.
The score was not the main reason that the game was hard to watch. (The final score was 31-17.)
The helmets of all the Notre Dame football players were changed. They positively glowed as if lit from within. The players looked like Golden Glo-sticks.
Or yellow fluorescent highlighters with bright yellow caps.
Adding glowing gold to Notre Dame football players' helmets for the first time ever, was someone's idea of good taste. And many other people's idea of a pathetic loss of dignity.
That is the main reason why the spectacle was hard to watch. It had something to do with the score, it is true, but much more to do with the glare of blinding gold helmets. It was bush.
Not even a high school team could have pulled such a gimmick.
If you have to ask why this is important enough to post here, in Insurance Claims and Bad Faith Law, then you obviously do not root for Notre Dame.
