Starting on the first day of Summer, 2012, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has called for a "Fortnight of Faith," which will end on the Fourth of July. As residents of the United States, and particularly but not alone for Catholics, this is our opportunity to enjoy the advertising efforts that have gone into this project. This is our opportunity to make the Fortnight of Faith an observance of Truths that have stood for Centuries. As a part of that effort, this post is part of a continuing series of blog posts intended to focus on exactly that, making the next two weeks an observance, not of political disputes, but of universal and eternal truths.
Come to terms with your opponent adversary in good time, while you are still on the way to court with him;
lest at any time the adversary should deliver you to the Judge, and the Judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison.
Amen, amen I say unto you, you shall by no means come out of there, until you have paid the last penny.
Matthew 5:25-26.
