Wow. The more you hear about Federal Subsidies of Crop Insurance Premiums of other people and corporations in the business of raising or not raising crops, the more you think about the implied covenant of Good Faith and Fair Dealing.
Not content with subsidization of 2/3 of Crop Insurance Premiums by our Federal Tax Money, a bill is pending in the U.S. Congress to increase the use of our Tax Dollars to subsidize those that pay Crop Insurance Premiums. A1, col. 1 (New York Times Nat'l ed., Thursday, June 7, 2012), posted online under the headline, "Crop Insurance Proposal Could Cost U.S. Billions".
Parenthetically, if you had any doubt about the priorities in Congress, it reportedly is certain that a bill to increase the minimum hourly wage will not be allowed even to come to a vote in the House of Representatives.
